Vikings of Distinction

The annual Vikings of Distinction Awards honor North High graduates who have achieved outstanding success in their careers, legendary faculty members and  an organization that has been a special "Friend of North High School." Perhaps most importantly - the program provides scholarships to deserving members of the graduating class.

Although the Vikings of Distinction awards recognize adults for their achievements, the program is also meant to inspire and motivate students. Honorees visit North, participate in school-wide award ceremony, meet with students in informal group sessions and, in general, serve as role models.

Nominations can be made by any North High School graduate and current or former faculty members.  Alumni must have graduated at least 20 years earlier, and faculty must be retired.

Parent-Teacher-Student Organization

The North High Parent-Teacher-Student Organization, or PTSO, exists to support and build connections between teachers, students, staff and parents. It's a fun way to be involved in the school's achievements and your child's eductional experience. PTSO is always in need of parent volunteers for events such as School Registration and Orientation, Athletic Banquets, Game Concessions, Prom Night, and Teacher Appreciation activities.
